Historical Engine Society's Antique Power Exhibition returning to Lake Metroparks Farmpark

Jul. 25—Lake Metroparks Farmpark announced it will host the Historical Engine Society's 53rd Annual Antique Power Exhibition on July 26-28.

This event presents a collection of restored tractors, engines and other historical equipment for enthusiasts of all ages to enjoy, according to a news release. The event also provides an opportunity for guests to learn more about the Historical Engine Society and its mission to preserve and celebrate vintage farm machinery.

The Cockshutt tractor will be featured at this year's exhibition, symbolizing a bygone era of farming excellence, the release stated. A fully restored 1958 Cockshutt 540 Utility Tractor — in Harvest Gold — will be showcased, offering seasoned collectors and curious newcomers alike the chance to observe a rare and unique piece of history.

The tractor will be raffled off at the end of the event. Tickets will be available for purchase from the Historical Engine Society.

Various other antique tractors, construction and excavation equipment, cars, trucks, engines and more will be on display throughout the event. Guests will also be able to witness live equipment demonstrations, tractor pulls, parades of machinery and earth-moving demonstrations.

"If you or someone you know enjoys machinery—this is the event for you," Lake Metroparks Farmpark Event Manager Andy McGovern stated in the release. "Whether you're a seasoned collector or simply appreciate the craftsmanship of classic tractors, this event promises excitement and nostalgia."

In addition, guests can enjoy Farmpark attractions such as animal encounters, horse shows and educational demonstrations. Pony rides for $6 will also be offered, weather permitting.
