Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager Hop on Viral AI Yearbook Photo Trend
Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager
Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager are traveling back in time to their high school days.
The Today show co-hosts are the latest stars to jump on the viral trend involving AI-generated yearbook photos—and their fans are totally eating up the manufactured retro snaps.
In a new social media post shared to the Hoda and Jenna Instagram account on Wednesday, Oct. 4, fans got to see an imagined version of Kotb and Hager as their high school selves, and it's safe to say the results are priceless.
The post started out with a photo of Kotb, 59, looking like a baby-faced teenager as she posed in a denim jacket with some layered chain necklaces. Hager, 41, smiled sweetly for her fake picture day photo, wearing a thick white tank top and a simple pendant necklace.
The next set of pics showed the duo looking a little more sophisticated, with Kotb in a plain white T-shirt and a light blue blazer. For her part, Hager, appeared in a collared shirt and blue sweater vest while rocking a pair of vintage glasses.
But the photos only got more creative as they went on, with the next slide showing Kotb wearing an all-white ensemble, featuring a ribbon beret and matching white boots. (Fans couldn't help but notice the AI glitch in that particular photo, as Kotb's knees appeared to be merged together into one—oops!)
The next slide painted Hager in a different way than we're used to seeing her, as she appeared in the photo with super long hair all the way down to her waist. It looked like she was a homecoming queen in the pic, wearing a strapless pink dress, sash and tiara.
Finally, the post ended with a hip-hop version of Kotb, who looked over her shoulder at the camera while sporting giant hoop earrings and a gold and white baseball cap.
"Slide 7 to my core," one fan commented about the last shot, while someone else added, "I think hip-hop @hodakotb is my favorite."
Others found Hager's photo depictions perfectly on par, as one person commented, "Definitely textbook Jenna."
"This is amazing!!!!" someone else wrote of the AI-generated pics, while Chelsea Handler chimed in with a simple, "Yes."
