Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager Have an Unexpected New Project on the Way
Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb
Between working as co-anchors on the Today show while juggling motherhood, running a national book club, writing children's books and more, Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager can seemingly do it all. The dynamic duo will soon add another title to their impressive résumés thanks to an unexpected new project: recording artists!
On Monday, Nov. 20, Bush Hager announced on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that she and Kotb will release a holiday song called "A Carefree Christmas." The former first daughter dropped the news during a joint appearance with her twin sister, Barbara Pierce Bush, during which they promoted their new book Love Comes First.
"It’s gonna be really something," Bush Hager told Jimmy Fallon, explaining that a music video for the track will drop on the same day, Nov. 28.
"Mariah Carey, watch out," Fallon warned.
Later on, Fallon teased Bush Hager about already having her Christmas tree up ahead of Thanksgiving.
To that, she pointed out, "We have a holiday single dropping, and I just felt like I had to get into the mood." Fair enough!
For those curious about Bush Hager and Kotb's singing voices, the Today stars offered a glimpse into their skills in October when they took lessons from vocal coach Cheryl Porter. (They certainly made some progress.)
Also, here's a fun fact: Porter wrote "A Carefree Christmas" and will perform with Kotb and Bush Hager.
Hopefully, Today show viewers will be able to watch Bush Hager and Kotb perform their holiday track live!
