Hoda Kotb is totally smitten with her fiancé Joel Schiffman.

On Tuesday morning, the Today show anchor opened up to her fourth-hour co-star Jenna Bush Hager about the cutest thing her future hubby did for her. Hoda, who got engaged to Joel in November, recalled that when she walked down the stairs at 4:15 a.m. before heading off to work on Tuesday, she saw a card with her name on it sitting on the table.

"Joel was still sleeping and I opened it, and he had taken the time just to write a beautiful card," she told Jenna. "And I sat at the kitchen table at 4 o'clock reading it, and I thought, 'oh my god.'"

When Joel later came down the stairs to say goodbye to her before work, she asked him about it. "I go, 'You wrote me a card.' He's like, 'Yeah, I just wanted you to get it before you went.' ... First of all, it made me feel so good, and number two, anybody can do that and make someone feel that good."

She continued: "A handwritten note just says everything, and I saved it in my journal. I put it in there because this is one you want to have."

This is just one of the many times Hoda has shared a super-sweet story about her man, who she has been seeing for six years. Back in September, she gushed to Maria Shriver (who was filling in for Jenna at the time) about the first time Joel said "I love you" to her.

"I always get emotional if someone's truthful, really truthful, and I feel it. And I remember he [Joel] looked me in the eyes, and I started crying."

When Maria asked what Joel said to her, Hoda replied, "It was the day he said he was in love with me. It was a good day."

Hoda and Joel first crossed paths back in 2013 at a book signing event. In 2016, they decided to move in together and one year later they adopted Haley Joy. Early on in 2019, Joel and Hoda decided to adopt another baby girl named Hope Catherine. Then, right before this past Thanksgiving, Joel got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife.

When talking with People recently, Hoda made it sound like she and Joel are ready to walk down the aisle "sooner rather than later."

"If he said let’s do it right now, I would. All I want it to be is fun and happy and everybody to feel easy breezy," she told the publication. "No coordinated bridesmaids, just come as you are. That’s the theme of the rest of my life.”
