Hoda Kotb's 'Today' Colleagues Pen Sweet Tributes for Her 59th Birthday
Hoda Kotb may be taking some time off of The Today Show this week, but that isn't stopping her NBC colleagues from honoring her for her 59th birthday today, Aug. 9.
The co-anchor stepped back from the news desk to celebrate with her family, but Al Roker, Savannah Guthrie, and Jenna Bush Hager still made sure she'd see their thoughtful birthday wishes in her absence.
"Wish I could share some #birthdaycake with my dearest @hodakotb but I wish you all the best today," Roker wrote early this morning, posting a series of photos on Instagram of the two of them throughout their time on the morning program.
Bush Hager also sent her well wishes, writing, "I love sitting next to you (or standing in full snow gear!) You make my life more joyful every, single day! ???????."

Guthrie took to the social media platform shortly after, posting a photo from the first time the pair sat at the same desk together a decade or so ago. "It was magic then and it is magic now," she wrote. "So grateful to spend every morning with this phenomenal light of a human. Always learning, always seeking - happy birthday dearest @hodakotb."
The Today Show's official Instagram also shared a post in her honor, writing, "Today is @hodakotb's birthday and #weretalkinaboutit! You make our days so much brighter and your energy is contagious. Hope your day is full of fun, laughter and delicious Ritz cracker cakes. ?? ??."
Of course, viewers also flooded each comment section with their own birthday wishes for the beloved television personality.
So, let us be the next to say, happy birthday Hoda!
