In The Hollywood Reporter’s roundup of Hollywood’s 25 Beauty Moments of 2015, A-list actresses — Reese Witherspoon, Taraji P. Henson, Dakota Johnson, Lupita Nyong'o, Elizabeth Olsen, and Kirsten Dunst — posed with their beauty teams who work odd and long hours to make their clients turn heads and catch headlines (for the right reasons). In September 2015 at the Emmy Awards, Amy Schumer gave a shout out to her makeup artist, Andréa Tiller of The Wall Group, during her acceptance speech for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series. The Hollywood Reporter noted that social media has forced the celebrity beauty industry into overdrive, with hairstylists and makeup artists beautifying their clients not just for red carpet appearances, but also for Instagram likes. The industry publication took the extra step and went beyond just listing the most iconic and buzzy looks of the years — they enlisted the A-list stars to pose with their beauty #squads. Here’s how our most immaculate Hollywood women met their glam squads and beauty BFFS, as quoted by The Hollywood Reporter.

“We were friends for years, and then I just started using her — now she belongs to me. Exclusively. She can’t work for anyone else. It’s in her contract or she’s going to come up missing.”

“[Francois] was recommended to me by a mutual friend—we’ve been together ever since. And [Barose] was the first makeup artist I ever worked with for my first red carpet. I remember [Barose] suggested black lipstick once, and that made me really nervous. And we put it on, and it worked out!”

“Molly and I met — Detour or Details, I can’t remember, it was a magazine — and it was the ‘90s…I remember a couple years ago, I was like, ‘Oh Molly, I have these lines on my face,’ and she goes, ‘Those are smile lines.’ And I go, ‘Yeah, I know!’ And she goes, ‘’Cause you’re smiling! Don’t feel bad about that.’ So she always makes me feel better about how I look and how my body’s changing, my skin is changing, and she always makes me feel like aging is beautiful…And she just sort of makes me feel very confident in front of the camera.”

“Everybody knows Cervando does the best haircuts…Cervando has such good energy, y’know? It’s like, chill. This industry can create a lot of unneeded chaos, and so, it’s nice when you know somebody and they get you. And also, Cervando cuts all my friends’ hair. It’s a family…We understand each other’s fashion tastes, music tastes.”

“It was my freshman year winter formal, and Mark had just done my sisters’ [Mary-Kate and Ashley] hair; we were all going to the same dance. He gave me an updo, and I had the best hair in my class.”
