How to Make 2-Ingredient Doughnuts
Didn’t make it out in time to get a free doughnut for National Doughnut Day? Do not despair! Buzzfeed is here to show you how to make 2-ingredient doughnuts at home. All you need are canned biscuits from the grocery store, and some vegetable oil
Pop out a biscuit onto a cutting board. Flatten it a bit, and press a drinking glass into the middle to cut out the center of the doughnut. (Save that bit of dough to make doughnut holes!)
Fill a pan with vegetable oil — enough so that the bottom and part of the doughnut side will be immersed in it — and heat it up. Drop in the dough, and let them fry until they are golden brown on the underside. Flip and repeat. Now you have your doughnuts!
But don’t stop there. We all know doughnuts are really just sugar delivery mechanisms. Buzzfeed offers a few ideas for toppings. You can coat them in a cinnamon sugar mixture. Or you can make your own glaze by mixing 2 cups powdered sugar, 4 tablespoons milk, and ½ teaspoon vanilla. Add 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder to make a chocolate glaze.
