Hugh Jackman Reconnects With Nature in New Selfies Amid Split from Wife
Hugh Jackman is taking some time for himself.
Amid the news of his separation from wife Deborra-Lee Furness, whom he was married to for 27 years, the 54-year-old actor decided to commune with nature. Specifically, on Sept. 24, the Australian star took to Instagram to share new selfies of a recent venture out into the wild.
Alongside the upload, which showed the A-lister posing next to a body of water and enjoying some wildlife, Jackman wrote in the caption, "Sunday morning walk in the rain … heaven (and muddy)!"
Actor Ryan Reynolds, who previously bonded with Jackman as news of the breakup made headlines, sent his love by posting a series of heart emojis. Jennifer Garner also chimed in with a heart emoji of her own.
Fans loved Jackman's positivity and shared their own encouraging comments, with notes like, "Even if it rains, you Hugh have the sun?? in your heart," and "Every moment is looking nice Mr. Jackman, it's great to see you finding happiness and energy in nature."
"I hope you had a peaceful and reflective walk, stay strong, wishing you peace," said another fan, while someone else commented, "We love you Hugh… nature is heat for the heart & soul! ????????."
Jackman's most recent trip into the woods isn't surprising, as he often goes on adventures in nature to relax and reset. In fact, the star is known for including fans on his hikes and dips in the ocean through social media updates.
The actor and his wife announced their separation on Sept. 15, stating, "Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth."
"Our family has been and always will be our highest priority," the twosome added in their statement from earlier in September. "We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness."
Jackman and Furness share two adopted children, Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18.
