IKEA's known for covering the essentials-the iconic Billy Bookcase, the Malm bed, the Rens Sheepskin Rug, and the list goes on. But the retail giant's new line, launching this week, is tackling another much-needed section of the decor-an eco-friendly line that was designed with destressing in mind. IKEA's aim is for people to live a more conscious and caring life with this collection, especially when it comes to the environment.

By using materials like sustainable rattan, bamboo, and wool, IKEA wanted to create a tranquil balance between our modern way of living and nature. The materials the brand uses are all-natural and can be easily mixed and matched with other pieces in your home. Blues and dark, earthy tones are used to create a calming vibe throughout the collection.

“We like working with natural fibers like rattan and bamboo-living and renewable materials that provide great opportunities to create unique products," the press release stated. "We wanted to make furniture in natural fibers, often combined with metal underframes, that is modern, gives an airy feeling, is easy to move and comes in flat packages. Better for the environment and easier to take home and enjoy.”
