Ikea Hack: DIY Mini Bar Cart
Bar carts can cost a pretty penny and often take up a lot of prime real-estate; not the best option when you're an apartment dweller. So what if we tell you we have a space saving solution that's a fraction of the cost. We gave this super cheap (we’re talking $30!) utility cart from Ikea a glam makeover to become the perfect small-space bar cart. And it's just in time to ring in the New Year.

Remove all the pieces of the cart from the box. Place the metal pieces on top of the box and spray paint gold in several light coats. Let dry 1 hour.
While paint is drying, cover each of the white plastic shelves with marble contact paper. Press the paper over the top of the shelf, being careful to smooth out any air bubbles as you go.
Flip the shelf over and cut the contact paper where the side meets the corner, so you can easily fold the paper up the sides of the shelf. Trim any excess paper from the sides.
At the corners, use the X-Acto knife to cut out the curved corners (the corners will be pressed flush to the metal frame so you don’t need to worry about covering the sides of the corners).
Assemble the cart according to Ikea instructions, leaving out the sliding tray for a cleaner look. Fill the cart with your favorite glasses, booze, straws, coasters, and other cocktail accessories.
