I'm an Amazon Shopping Editor, and These Are 10 Things I'm Planning on Wearing for the Holidays This Year
Courtesy
It's mid-October, so I'm planning my holiday outfit. (Naturally.) I'm someone that likes to think ahead when it comes to the holidays, which means that alongside getting my gift shopping done early, I'm also envisioning exactly what I'm going to wear if I happen to attend any holiday gatherings. I don't have any plans yet and I might just end up spending the holidays at home — but even if that's the case, I still like to dress up, and I've planned an outfit (and a cozy backup) that works whether I'm safely seeing friends and family, or opting for a night in with my partner and our cat.
Here are 10 things from Amazon that I'm planning on wearing for the holidays this season:
Nackiy 20-Piece Hair Barrettes and Clips, $10 (Originally $15)
Xxxiticat Spaghetti Strap Satin Cowl Neck Dress, $20 (Originally $30)
JW Pei Gabbi Handbag, $80

I'll admit I don't often do anything special to my hair for the holidays, so I'm going to add some glitz and glam with these $10 hair clips to make it seem like I paid way more than that at a salon. I love that this large 20-pack features sparkly gems and cute pearls in different colors and styles, so that no matter what I'm wearing, something is bound to match. Over 5,000 Amazon shoppers highly recommend them, and say they're "very shiny and pretty," and will actually hold your hair in place.

Pavoi 14K Gold Chunky Open Hoops

I've been eyeing these pretty gold hoops for what feels like forever, and I think they'll add a simple and elegant touch to any outfit. Not only are they the best-selling hoop earrings on Amazon thanks to 23,450 five-star ratings, but they've gone viral on TikTok, too. The dainty earrings are gold plated and come in a few different sizes depending on how large you want them. Customers say they "wear them all the time" and that they've never "discolored" or "hurt" their ears. One shopper even said they made her feel "just as stunning" as Marilyn Monroe in the movie Niagara. Sold.

Xxxiticat Spaghetti Strap Satin Cowl Neck Dress

The plan is for this satin cowl neck dress to be the star of the show. I think the deep emerald green is perfect for the holiday season, but it also comes in a number of different colors like royal blue, wine red, and creamy beige that could also be fun. Other than how gorgeous it looks, I'm also choosing it because it's extremely affordable — you can get it on sale for just $20 right now, but it's still a good price even when it's not discounted at $30. A number of shoppers have left images showing off how good the dress looks, raving that it "fits like a glove" and that the fabric is "soft, stretchy, and durable."

Goodthreads Boucle Shaker Stitch Balloon-Sleeve Sweater

If I do go out to a gathering and anticipate being chilly, I'm going to throw this cozy sweater over the dress to help stay warm but still look stylish. I own a couple of Goodthreads sweaters, and they're all really soft and good quality, so I don't doubt that this one will be just as comfy. I like the off-white oatmeal color, which will be a nice contrast to the dark green dress. It'll also look trendy on its own outside of the holidays, paired with high rise jeans and a good ankle bootie.

Allegra K Chunky Heel Ankle Boots

Speaking of ankle boots, these shiny numbers from Allegra K are such a good holiday find. The patent leather boots come in statement-making colors like green, pink, and orange and have a slim design with a chunky 3.5-inch heel. The white is bound to go with anything, and they'll definitely add some flair paired with a slip dress. Shoppers say they're "stunning" and will "completely transform your outfit."

Daily Ritual Relaxed-Fit Mock-Neck Short Puffer Jacket

This Daily Ritual puffer is one of my favorite winter jackets. It's super warm and surprisingly flattering, so even though it's puffy, it's not frumpy and it can easily elevate any look. You can get it in a handful of great colors (including a velvet dusty pink!), and sizes go up to 2XL. Reviewers call it a "steal" for the $70 price tag and are ordering it in multiple colors. I definitely plan on wearing it if I'll be outside at all for a holiday event.

Aurelia Mae 18K Gold Plated Signet Ring

I'm shocked that this beautiful mother of pearl signet ring is only $20. (So is another person who says it "looks like a million bucks.") The chunky ring is gold plated over stainless steel, and is a super affordable way to accessorize with a statement piece. Customers claim it's "still in good shape" after getting it wet, and won't turn your finger green after wearing it for a week.

JW Pei Gabbi Handbag

In case you missed it, this is the $80 that supermodels like Emily Ratajowski, Irina Shayk, and Gigi Hadid own, and even celebs like Megan Fox have taken it out for a spin. Made from 100 percent vegan leather, the chic bag features a statement-making scrunchie strap and is available in a colorful array of Insta-pic-worthy colors. I love the ivory, but I'm seriously considering getting the chili red, too.

Zesica 2-Piece Jogger Loungewear Set

I'm still planning on wearing my slinky slip dress even if I'm staying home, but if I really don't feel like dressing up, you'll find me in this comfortable jogger set from Zesica. The set includes a long (or short) sleeve cropped pullover and drawstring joggers that have pockets. Shoppers say it's great for winter and makes them feel "sexy" and "cute." Even if this doesn't end up being my holiday "outfit," I'll certainly be wearing it as my WFH uniform for the rest of the season.

Parlovable Cross Band Faux Fur Slippers

I'll also be trading in those ankle boots for these very fluffy slippers if I'm staying in. You probably recognize the Parlovable cross band slippers seeing as they're the number one best-selling women's slippers on Amazon, and I feel like they were all over gift guides last year. Well, I may be late to the party, but I'm so excited to finally own a pair of the "comfiest slippers ever," that are apparently even "softer than Uggs," according to shoppers. The cream is super cute, and I love the white and tan color combo, too.
