'Incompetent' bride and 'rude' event planner face off in public Facebook shaming over wedding
A bride who was less than thrilled with her wedding planner decided to share her grievances on the company’s Facebook page — but she probably didn’t expect that the planner would clap back and dub her a “bridezilla,” airing her own dirty laundry to boot.
The bristling-instead-of-blushing bride wrote, “They suck and are so rude!! They rushed us to do the bouquet toss when we weren’t even ready to do it yet!! Ughhhh!!! Save yourself some stress and choose someone else!!”
“They suck and are so rude” is a slap in the face for anyone, but the bouquet toss seems to be the bride’s only public gripe. Surely, out of the whole wedding, that one tradition didn’t shape her entire opinion of the planner’s abilities? Alas, we may never know, but the planner
didn’t take the negative review lying down.
According to News.com.au, the brutal reply began, “Thank you so much … for showing your true colors for everyone to see. We were going to let your disaster of a wedding slide but since you decided to initiate a negative comment, we are certainly willing to reply.”
After the company lists its credentials of successful events, the public shaming begins.
“Until your wedding rolled onto our calendar we have never had to deal with such an incompetent, discourteous and evasive bride/groom/client etc.,” the Georgia-based company wrote.
News.com.au reported that guests at the wedding waited two hours for the bride and groom to arrive, which is why the reception was rushed. The event planner pointed out, “That left you with 43 minutes for first dances, dinner, five speeches from bridesmaids and cake cutting and sparklers during daylight (I reiterate incompetent).”
The company removed its Facebook page after the post went viral. While some commenters supported shaming the “bridezilla,” others found it to be in poor taste for a business to perform a personal attack on a customer.
Whatever side you choose, one thing is for certain — watching people fight on Facebook is better than MMA fighting. Who has the popcorn?
