American Independence Festival in Exeter and Independence Jam
What: The 34th American Independence Festival in downtown Exeter runs 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday Independence Jam is 10 a.m.-4 p.m. with live music, vendors and food trucks on Swasey Parkway. There is also an Exeter Parks & Rec sponsored concert at Swasey Parkway is at 7 p.m., followed by fireworks at 9 p.m.
When: Saturday, July 13, 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Where: Area around the American Independence Museum at 1 Governors Lane in Exeter, and Swasey Parkway in Exeter.
Cost: The festival and evening events are free. The Indpendence Jam admission is $10-$20.

Lilac City Family Fun Festival
What: Free kiddie carnival rides for young children, games, food trucks, local vendors, family-friendly activities, and live entertainment, followed by fireworks. Please, no outside fireworks or sparklers. Service pets ONLY. Parking is limited. Consider parking your car downtown and walk (if you're able) or utilize the shuttle service.
When: Saturday, July 13 from 4-9 p.m. (Rain date Sunday, July 14 from 4-9 p.m.)
