Inside the CEW 2023 Beauty Awards
Winners of CEW’s 2023 Beauty Awards ran the gamut from newcomers to industry heavyweights.
“As we look to this year’s winners, they demonstrate a commitment to creativity, a focus on research and development and ingredients, as well as the incredible scale, expansion and diversification the beauty industry is experiencing today,” Carlotta Jacobson, CEW’s president, said in advance of the event via email, noting that for the first time, the winning products would be shoppable on CEW’s website following their grand reveals.

The festivities, which took to the Hilton Hotel in New York on Nov. 7, saw winners range in size and category from Indie Brand of the Year — a tie between Bubble and K18 — to Olay, which won awards for both moisturizer and bath and body cleanser.
Summer Fridays took home the Lip Product award for its Lip Butter Balm, while Supergoop founder Holly Thaggard emotionally recalled not being able to afford a ticket to a past CEW Beauty Awards during her acceptance speech, and thanked her retail partners for believing in sun care’s seasonless future.
Attendees ranged from industry founders and executives to the influencers nominated for Influencer of the Year, an honor nabbed by Rose Siard.
