How to Install a Modern Glass Backsplash (with just spray paint and glue!)
Want to upgrade your kitchen backsplash but not exactly the “Queen of Tiling”?
Fear not!
According to home renovation experts Karen E. Laine and Mina Starsiak, the mother-daughter duo behind HGTV's "Good Bones," you don't have to glue a single tile to get a gorgeous backsplash.
"If you have a tragic backsplash," says Mina (a note that got a chuckle out of Rach), "and maybe aren't skilled at tiling, you can spray paint and glue!"

They're calling it the "back paint glass."
All you need is a piece of tempered glass, which is sturdy and safe to use over a hot stove, and spray paint in any color you'd like. Just make sure to use a spray paint designed for glass! Otherwise, it might crack or peel over time.
Once you're done, you take the glass and and apply it to the wall with a heavy duty silicone sealant. Follow the directions on the sealant for applying to the wall, but FYI, you may need to stand holding the glass for about 15 minutes of so while it dries.
But once it does, there you have it! A brand-new backsplash. And without any super-serious DIY skills.

(Although, it's worth noting: The cost of this DIY is completely dependent upon how big of a backsplash you're looking to install. If it's a big one, you may want to consider a pro!)
