The internet can't handle these butt-exposing ripped jeans
Another day, another questionable denim trend. Shoppers are now being introduced to jeans that feature bizarre “bum rips.”
Online retailer Pretty Little Thing has launched a pair of skinny jeans that take the whole ripped aesthetic to new bottom-bearing heights — or depths.
Described as “Distressed Bum Rip High Waisted Skinny Jeans,” the divisive item — also available in sky blue — comes with a not-too-terrifying price tag of $38.
But where on earth would you wear them?
According to the website, the jeans are designed to enable customers to “flaunt some skin” and are perfect for “hitting the town with your besties.”
And sure enough, the internet has some thoughts.

My mother would have bought me new pants if this happened to me.

It isn’t the first time people have been left baffled by a denim trend.
Who can forget Topshop’s suspender jeans, which took social media by storm a few months back? Or how about Fashion Nova’s bizarre lace-up style? And then there’s that viral denim thong pair.
Still not as bad as those denim thongs tbh
