The Internet Has Feelings About Addison Rae Using a Glass Shield as a Mask While Out in New York City
Yes, the vaccine is being rolled out to the public, but the pandemic is ?? not ??over??. Which is why people are not pleased with Addison Rae after she was spotted greeting fans in New York City without a mask. Instead, the TikTok star held what looks to be a plastic shield in front of her face.
Of course, the Internet could not get over this moment and many took to Twitter to try to discern what she was holding in front of her. Guesses included an oversized wine glass, a hairspray shield, and my personal favorite, a candy scooper.

The conversation then spilled over to TikTok, where one user had fun making their own Addison-inspired masks.
FYI, the CDC has said that while the evaluation of the effectiveness of face shields is ongoing, they are not recommended as replacements for masks. And that's talking about the ones you place over your head.
Addison, if you needed a face mask, you should have just said so! I have so many recs.
