Internet Goes Wild After Truth About Snoop Dogg Giving Up 'Smoke' Is Shared
Snoop Dogg
Snoop Dogg recently announced that he was "giving up smoke," and internet users completely lost their minds at the thought of the legendary rapper—who is well-known for being an avid marijuana aficionado—quitting his favorite hobby.
It has been revealed, though, that the "Drop It Like It's Hot" artist is, in fact, not turning over a new leaf, he's just "done with smoke" to go "smokeless"—smoke-free fire pit, that is.
The Death Row Records owner's newest partnership with Solo Stove featured him starring in an ad for the brand's hot cooking product.
The video for the campaign finds the 52-year-old sitting outdoors roasting a marshmallow, noting that he's "done with the coughing and [his] clothes smelling all sticky-icky." The stove then comes into the picture as he announces the pit "took out the smoke" associated with outdoor grilling.
"I love a good fire outside but the smoke was too much. Solo Stove fixed fire and took out the smoke. They changed the game and now I'm excited to spread the love and stay warm with my friends and family," the "official smokesman" said in the product's press release.
In response, the internet has erupted with people expressing a wide range of reactions after the reasoning behind the initial social media post has been revealed.

In a comment thread on X (formerly Twitter), social media users celebrated the fact that "it was just an ad."
"This might actually be the greatest marketing idea of all time," one praised, as another joked, "Snoop dogg after tricking the whole internet for a bag," adding a hilarious meme to the note that read: "Absolute CINEMA."

"Bro had the worlds stoners questioning their life choices for this ad," a third noticed.
"I knew that wording was strange! 'Smoke' not 'smoking' lol! Nice!" someone else applauded of the wordplay.
Recently, the famed decades-long "stoner" collaborated with one of his besties, Martha Stewart, with another brand known for fire-themed products by launching the Best Buds Bag with BIC.
