It's back-to-school season, and Irina Shayk is dressing accordingly. On Tuesday, the model was snapped walking the streets of New York City in a look that was a dash preppy, a bit grunge, and a whole lot of cool. She'd definitely fit right into any school clique.

The entire ensemble is courtesy of Burberry, which comes as no surprise since she is Chief Creative Officer Riccardo Tisci's muse and stars in a number of campaigns for the British label. Dressed in a box-pleated miniskirt in Burberry's signature Nova Check pattern, she also rocked black tights, Derby brogues, and a roomy hoodie that featured the brand's updated monogram. She finished her look with a matching shoulder bag.

The outing follows her cameo in Rihanna's Savage x Fenty lingerie fashion show in Los Angeles, and appearances on the catwalks of Versace and Hugo Boss during Milan Fashion Week. Indeed, Shayk has kept busy, traveling the globe and making headlines along the way. But now that the dust has settled, she is seemingly taking it easy, enjoying New York's brisk fall weather and having fun dressing for the season. To wit: She wore a sleek leather jacket over an eye-catching cutout top yesterday—which she accessorized with (you guessed it) another Burberry bag—while dropping her daughter off at school.

Parents take note: Sweats apparently no longer make the cut at school drop-off and pickup. And we're sure it can't be easy for those sharing pavement with supermodels.
