'Iron Chef' Cat Cora met her wife on the celeb dating app Raya: 'It was love at first sight'
Welcome to Yahoo Lifestyle, Pride Edition, commemorating June — Pride Month — with a collection of stories celebrating the resilience of LGBTQ people, such as celebs like Adam Rippon and Munroe Bergdorf, trans women finding their inner power through a unique beauty clinic, and queer youth receiving vital support from their gay elders after aging out of the foster system. And so, as they shout in the streets, “We’re here, we’re queer — get used to it!”
Iron Chef star Cat Cora and renowned music video producer and director Nicole Ehrlich smile from ear to ear, dishing on their passionate love and new marriage. While seated in their lush Santa Barbara, Calif., yard, which overlooks the ocean, the couple sat down with Yahoo Lifestyle to share the details on their love story for the video series It’s Love.

The two first met on the dating app Raya, known for its celebrity clientele. Ehrlich recognized Cora on the app and messaged her first. “Just think, if you and I are together one day, we’re going to have 6 boys!” Cora is the mother of four boys, and Ehrlich is the mother of two.
Ehrlich messaged Cora, “Just think: if you and I are together one day, we’re going to have 6 boys!”
“We texted for about three weeks to a month before we actually met,” Ehrlich tells Yahoo Lifestyle.
“I definitely knew that Nicole was a game-changer for me. I thought to myself, ‘I am in trouble. She is everything I’ve ever been looking for,’” Cora shares.

When they finally met in person, back in 2016, “it was love at first sight for me,” Ehrlich says. “It was definitely lust at first sight for me,” Cora adds.
“My heart is racing while I’m talking about this. I think it was the first time in my life I was ever really nervous,” Ehrlich says of the moment she asked Cora to marry her.
The two wed on April 21, 2018, at a friend’s villa in the mountains of Santa Barbara. “It was a fairy tale,” Cora says. “One hundred percent went perfectly that day. We were so grateful.”
“It’s my angel on earth right next to me,” Ehrlich says of Cora. “She’s my savior,” Cora adds. “She saves my life every day.”
