Isko’s Fabrics Shine at London Fashion Week
Isko was the secret sauce behind several denim collections at London Fashion Week.
Emerging British designers Priya Ahluwalia, Chet Lo, Aaron Esh and Masha Popova used the Turkish mill’s sustainable fabrics in their Spring/Summer 2024 collections. The designers also had access to finishing technologies and expertise at Isko’s London-based Creative Room.

Opened in 2022, the product development center offers close-to-market, sustainable laundry and finishing support with Isko’s experts on hand to help manage the entire end-to-end production for customers. Isko also runs a second Creative Room in Germany.
The Creative Room’s technologies were key to Masha Popova’s collection of meticulously manipulated denim. The designer used various techniques to achieve the Y2K aesthetic, including over-dyeing, flocking, patchwork, scratching and fraying in a variety of colors to create jeans, tops and jackets.
For Ahluwalia, designer Priya Ahluwalia used Isko’s Ctrl+Z fabric for denim jackets and jeans. A laser-printed pattern covers the three looks, mixing floral and geometric shapes with Ahluwalia’s logo.
Made entirely from recycled and regenerated fibers, Ctrl+Z fabrics are free of virgin cotton and use a minimum of 60 percent recycled materials. Cellulose fibers fill out the rest of the fabric composition. Isko achieved the Bluesign-approved distinction for the circular fabrics in March.
Ctrl+Z fabrics were also the foundation of Chet Lo’s jeans decorated with laser prints. The slouchy jeans were paired with the designer’s signature popcorn knits and spiky footwear.
Aaron Esh, a Central Saint Martins graduate and 2023 LVMH Prize finalist, opted for Isko’s R-TWO50 fabrics for his London Fashion Week debut. R-TWO50 fabrics are made with a minimum of 50 percent pre- and post-consumer recycled content. Esh showed indigo and black flare jeans—some with ripped knees—with slim leather jackets, oversized blazers and tops that wrapped around the neck.
Keith O’Brien, Isko’s senior PR manager, said the mill is committed to supporting the next wave of creative talent and their journey to become more sustainably minded. “We see the value in working with brands at various points along their sustainability trajectory—from those who are just embarking on the journey to those who have sustainability at the core of their brand DNA,” he added.
