It's been more than 30 years since Ivan Drago delivered that dramatic killing blow to Apollo Creed in Rocky IV, followed by the ice-cold line: "If he dies, he dies." And now Apollo is finally back and ready for a rematch. Actors Dolph Lundgren and Carl Weathers, who played Ivan and Apollo in the 1985 boxing classic, just got back together for a Rocky reunion, which Lundgren shared on Instagram.

"Rematch at Gold's Gym Venice," Lundgren wrote. "Apollo's looking dangerous."

While it may have been over three decades since Ivan and Apollo's fight in Rocky IV, the consequences of that storyline are still reverberating throughout the franchise. Last year's Creed II, the spinoff sequel all about Apollo's son, pit the next generation of fighters against each other: Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan) faced off against Viktor Drago (Florian Munteanu), the son of his father's killer.

Lundgren reprised his role as Ivan Drago in that movie, and even trained alongside Munteanu to get ripped for his return; a decision which he felt strengthened their dynamic together as father and son in Creed II. "When you train together, you develop a very pure type of respect for the person," he told Men's Health prior to the movie's release.

While it's unclear whether Lundgren will return to the Rocky universe if and when they make a Creed III, he is already teaming up with his one-time on-screen rival Sylvester Stallone again on a new project. He will play a "one-man S.W.A.T. team and hostage negotiator in The International, an upcoming TV series produced by Stallone.
