Ivanka and Melania Trump are twinning in belted dresses
They share a last name, as well as similar style sense.
On Wednesday, first lady Melania Trump and stepdaughter Ivanka joined forces to help usher in President Trump’s executive order to boost the hiring of military spouses in the federal government. The event also celebrated mothers in the military ahead of Mother’s Day.

There wasn’t a dress code for the occasion, but there might as well have been. Both Trumps opted for dark dresses with large belts across the waist. Welcome to twinning, Trump-style.
Ivanka’s choice was a black, short-sleeved Oscar de la Renta dress with a broderie-anglaise hem priced at $2,390. The mother of three accessorized with a large black belt and matching heels.
Meanwhile, FLOTUS donned Michael Kors’s dark navy tuxedo-style dress with ruched sleeves and its own black belt. It’s an old favorite: Trump previously wore the dress, albeit with a brown woven belt, just over a year ago for the 2017 Senate Spouses Luncheon. Kors also designed the white suit she notoriously paired with a giant hat during a recent appearance.

After honoring military mothers, duty called — as did another wardrobe change. The first lady changed into a black-and-white, culotte-style pantsuit by Dior to join her husband in welcoming the three American detainees released by North Korea.
If the outfit looks familiar, it’s because she wore the same houndstooth-print suit — minus the black top — to meet Prince Harry during the Invictus Games in 2017.
Long story short: In terms of White House fashion, belts are big, and so is getting more mileage out of your designer suits. At these prices, who wouldn’t?
