Have a great week!— Ivanka Trump (@IvankaTrump) May 29, 2018
In a series of tweets sent Tuesday morning, the first daughter quoted Marcus Aurelius’s Meditations. “If thou workest at what is before thee, following right reason seriously, vigorously, calmly, without allowing anything to distract thee. … If thou holdest to this, expecting nothing, fearing nothing, but satisfied with thy present activity according to nature … thou wilt live happy. And there is no man who will be able to prevent this.” Marcus Aurelius was a Roman emperor who ruled A.D. 161-180.
She also added her own thoughts: “Focus on what is before you, on what you can control and ignore the trolls! Have a great week!”
This thread comes days after Trump was slammed for posting a “tone-deaf” photo on her social media pages of herself holding her younger son, Theodore, 2. “My <3! #SundayMorning,” she wrote in the caption.

She was criticized mostly for the timing of the image, which was posted on the heels of reports of a federal government policy to separate children of undocumented immigrants from their parents.
