Ivanka Trump and Sarah Huckabee Sanders experience awkward moment in South Korea
Ivanka Trump arrived in South Korea on Friday ahead of a weekend that will be spent cheering on Team USA. But before this weekend's festivities, she spent some time with South Korean president Moon Jae-in for dinner. White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was also present, but it was clear who the shining star was.
All eyes were on the first daughter who was showered with presents, including the Soohorang and Bandabi Olympic mascots, limited-edition plush toys which are given to medalists.
Trump and Sanders were invited to a feast at Moon’s residence, the Blue House. Upon entering any residence, the South Korean custom is to take off one's shoes. So when Trump and Sanders showed up to Moon's home, their hosts made it very apparent who the true guest of honor was.
Trump was gifted a pair of beautiful, embroidered slippers. Sanders, on the other hand, was given a pair of "standard issue" slippers. Talk about the ultimate slipper snub!

The party was reportedly served a "delicately prepared" kosher feast including bibimbap to "symbolize harmony." For the event, Trump dazzled in a form-fitting all black dress that hit just below her knees, while Sanders opted for a multi-colored floral frock.
