J.J. Watt's 99-year-old great-grandma's church outfit is better than yours
J.J. Watt has been a consistent name in the headlines recently. Most notably, the Houston Texan defensive end has helped raise more than $30 million in relief for those affected by Hurricane Harvey — a fundraising feat that folks are rightly proud of. It seems no one is as proud, though, as Sophie Musial, Watt’s 99-year-old great-grandmother.
The sprightly nonagenarian was seen sporting a custom version of Watt’s Houston Texan jersey, reportedly before heading to church this Sunday morning. Instead of J.J.’s name, of course, her jersey boast “Great Grandma” on the back. Apparently, Watt’s jersey number is also Musial’s age. A perfect fit.

While some might not think a football jersey is appropriate church attire, we believe anyone who’s reached the wise age of 99 can wear whatever she pleases.
As mentioned, Watt’s efforts to help raise relief funds have been highly successful. With an original goal of $20 million, his fundraiser listed on YouCaring surpassed that milestone this week and is well north of $30 million. So we can clearly see why Great-Grandma is smiling and proud of her family member.
