Jack Black Is Back in First Trailer for Kung Fu Panda 4
It's been almost eight years, but Jack Black is back as Po in Kung Fu Panda 4, the next chapter in the beloved action-comedy franchise from Dreamworks Animation.
Featuring voice performances from Academy Award winners Ke Huy Quan, Dustin Hoffman and Viola Davis, Academy Award nominee Bryan Cranston, Emmy nominees Awkwafina and Ian McShane, as well as Jackie Chan and James Hong, the film follows Po on his wide-eyed adventures in ancient China.
After three death-defying adventures defeating world-class villains with his unmatched courage and mad martial arts skills, Po, the Dragon Warrior, is called upon by destiny to … give it a rest already. More specifically, he's tapped to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace.
Awkwafina stars as quick-witted thief Zhen, who helps Po in their quest to protect the Valley of Peace from Chameleon, voiced by Viola Davis.
The first trailer is jam-packed with the fun we've come to expect from a Jack Black flick, alongside some standout moments from returning stars.
Directed by Shrek Forever After and The Lego Movie 2's Mike Mitchell and co-directed by Stephanie Ma Stine, Kung Fu Panda 4 is set to hit theaters on March 8, 2024.
