Jacob Elordi and Zendaya Seemingly Over Amid Reports He Has 'Interest in Dating Kaia' Gerber
The private romance between Euphoria’s Jacob Elordi and Zendaya appears to have secretly come to an end sometime this year. E! is now reporting that Elordi has his sights set on Cindy Crawford's 19-year-old daughter Kaia Gerber. Gerber and Elordi were photographed getting dinner together at Nobu Malibu on Tuesday—the same date as Zendaya's 24th birthday.
A source said that the two aren't dating yet, but Elordi would love for something to happen. "Jacob definitely has interest in dating Kaia, but there is nothing serious going on there," a source told the outlet. "They have many mutual friends and have hung out many times in the past. They both have very chill personalities and similar interests. Jacob makes Kaia laugh and her family adores him."
That source added that "Kaia is keeping things friendly for now but there is flirtation between the two. She has told friends she is single and is only having fun and hanging out with people."
Elordi and Zendaya were photographed kissing in New York City in February. A source told E! at the time that they had been secretly dating for a while. "Jacob and Zendaya have been seeing each other for months now," the source said. "They started as close friends but it became romantic after their show ended."
"They have been inseparable since last summer and have been making time for each other in between projects," the source continued. "Jacob has met Zendaya's family, and everyone adores him. They have a lot of fun together and have a lot in common."
Elordi and Zendaya denied being anything more than friends, for what it's worth. The two kept their relationship to themselves, from start to seemingly end.
Zendaya called Elordi her "best friend" in January when presenting an award to him at the American Australian Association Arts Awards.
Elordi said Zendaya was like a sister in an interview published in GQ Australia this December. "She’s like my sister," he started. "Zendaya is an amazing creative, you know? She’s super dope to work with. She’s an incredible artist and a very caring person to all of us. But we’re all really close. There is not one weak link in that show. We’ve spent so much time together and everyone is just so cool to work with. Sam Levinson is just a genius and working with him, it was just like electricity all the time. I was in awe. Like a kid in a candy shop.”
