Jada Pinkett Smith Shares How Will Reacted to Rumors About His Sexuality
Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith
Will Smith is currently facing a rumor from a former assistant Brother Bilaal, who claimed that he once saw Will and his Fresh Prince of Bel-Air co-star Duane Martin hooking up in a dressing room.
Now, Jada Pinkett Smith has revealed exactly how Will responded upon hearing the rumor. While visiting The Breakfast Club radio show on Thursday, Nov. 16, Jada said, "Here's one good thing about Will. Will's always gonna find the funny."
"You have to because it’s absolutely ridiculous...You’ve just got to laugh about it. And it’s unfortunate," Jada added.
She then described Will's reaction to Bilaal's claim: “He was like, ‘Do you believe this s–t?' you know, but we just laughed about it.”
Will also publicly responded to the rumor, with his rep saying in a statement, “This story is completely fabricated and the claim is unequivocally false."
Bilaal alleged that he once saw Will and Duane intimately involved while chatting on the Unwine With Tasha K podcast on Monday, Nov. 13.
Duane acted in two episodes of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, between 1993 and 1995. He also appeared in Will's music video for "Will 2K."
While both Will and Jada have publicly shared their responses and thoughts on the claims, Jada also stated that they plan to take legal action against Bilaal.
She said on The Breakfast Club, "We're going to take legal action. Because it's one thing to have your opinion about somebody, versus just making up salacious, malicious stories."
The famous couple has been in the spotlight a lot recently after Jada's book, Worthy, and the bombshell reveal that they've been separated for the last seven years.
Despite that, Will and Jada stated that they have no intention of getting a divorce. The two wed in 1997 and share two children: Jaden, 25, and Willow, 23.
