Jake Gyllenhaal Stars in Action-Packed First Trailer for Road House
Doug Liman reimagines the 80s cult classic in Road House, a story about an ex-UFC fighter who takes a job as a bouncer at a Florida Keys roadhouse.
The original Road House came from director Rowdy Herrington and was written by David Lee Henry and Hilary Henkin, starring Patrick Swayze.
Now, screenwriters Anthony Bagarozzi and Charles Mondry bring the story into the 21st century with Jake Gyllenhaal stepping into Swayze's shoes as Dalton.
Road House's ensemble is made up of Daniela Melchior, Billy Magnussen, Jessica Williams, Joaquim de Almeida, Conor McGregor, Lukas Gage, Arturo Castro, B.K. Cannon, Beau Knapp, Darren Barnet, Dominique Columbus, Bob Menery, Catfish Jean, Kevin Carroll, Travis Van Winkle, and Hannah Lanier.
Executive-produced by JJ Hook, Alison Winter, Aaron Auch, and Audie Attar, Road House will open the 2024 SXSW Film & TV Festival ahead of its global streaming release on March 21, 2024.
