Jamie Foxx Fans Call Out Jennifer Aniston's 'Cancel Culture' Comments

Jennifer Aniston says she's “so over cancel culture,” but Jamie Foxx's fans won't let her forget seemingly trying to cancel the actor just a few weeks ago.

The Friends alum spoke to the Wall Street Journal Magazine for a new cover story, where she expressed frustration with the concept.

“I probably just got canceled by saying that,” she said.

“I just don’t understand what it means.… Is there no redemption? I don’t know. I don’t put everybody in the Harvey Weinstein basket,” she continued, seeming to suggest that Weinstein—who was convicted of sexual assault and rape, landing him over two decades in prison—is worthy of canceling, whereas others, perhaps, aren't.

But Foxx's fans recall just three weeks ago, when Aniston spoke out after liking one of the Oscar winner's Instagram posts after it was called out for being anti-Semitic. She had responded at the time, "This really makes me sick. I did not ‘like’ this post on purpose or by accident. And more importantly, I want to be clear to my friends and anyone hurt by this showing up in their feeds – I do NOT support any form of antisemitism."

Now, supporters of the Soul actor are clapping back over her recent commentary. taking to Twitter to point out the irony they see in the situation, with one calling it all "dizzy, old and weird":

"She just threw Jamie Foxx under the bus like a month ago.. hollywood is insane," one fan wrote.

"Rachel Green was perfectly fine throwing Jamie Foxx under the bus with no valid reason or remorse at all, but now she’s leading the crusade against cancel culture because she’s on the other end...? It’s so typical," said another.

"very ironic of her to say considering she was trying to indirectly cancel Jamie Foxx a few weeks ago. where was all this sympathy then Rachel?" someone else wrote.

"Says the lady who just tried to get Jamie Foxx canceled because she was confused," another comment read, while one suggested that she had a perfect grasp of the concept of cancel culture as a result:

Another agreed:

"So that means you’re apologizing to Jamie Foxx right? RIGHT???!!" someone else wanted to know.

For his part, Foxx removed the post after realizing how it came across to some and issued a public apology, writing, "I want to apologize to the Jewish community and everyone who was offended by my post. I now know my choice of words have caused offense and I'm sorry. That was never my intent. To clarify, I was betrayed by a fake friend and that's what I meant with 'they' not anything more. I only have love in my heart for everyone. I love and support the Jewish community. My deepest apologies to anyone who was offended ??????. Nothing but love always, Jamie Foxx."
