His daughter praised the 'quick action and great care' he's already received thus far.
Jamie Foxx was reportedly hospitalized following a health scare on Tuesday, April 11.
The actor, 55, suffered what his daughter Corinne Foxx described as a "medical complication," though she said he is now on the road to recovery.
The 47 Meters Down actress shared a statement regarding her father's recent medical emergency on Wednesday evening via Instagram.
"From the Foxx family: We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery."

No other information regarding the actor's condition or what led to the complications was immediately made available. However, on behalf of Foxx's entire family, his 29-year-old daughter asked fans to respect their privacy during this difficult time. Comments were also restricted on the post.
"We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers," she wrote. "The family asks for privacy during this time," she added, signing the message, "Much love, the Foxx family."
The actor shares Corinne with ex Connie Kline. He is also father to Annalise Bishop, whom he welcomed with Kristin Grannis.
The celebrity father-daughter duo has frequently worked together, with Corinne appearing as the DJ on the show her father hosts and executive produces, Beat Shazam. And just last month, the two were also featured in an Intel commercial together.
