Jamie Lee Curtis brought classic Hollywood glam to the red carpet as she arrived at the 96th annual Academy Awards.
The Halloween actress was photographed wearing a body-hugging black gown. She paired the three-quarter sleeved dress with a bold gold cuff bracelet and what looked to be silver earrings with diamond detailing.
Curtis' fashion choice for the Sun., March 10 ceremony stood in sharp contrast with the glittery cream-colored gown she wore at last year's Oscars.
The awards show announced late last month that Curtis would be one of this year’s presenters. Her name was included alongside 12 others in what the Oscars described as its “first slate of presenters” for its 2024 ceremony.
In preparation for the big day, Curtis shared a selfie on Instagram in which she sported a green face mask.
“Prepper!” she wrote to caption the photo, tagging The Academy in her post.
Curtis, 65, returns to the Academy Awards one year after winning the Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 2023 for her performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once.
Ke Huy Quan, who won last year’s Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his performance in the same film, is also returning to this year’s ceremony as a presenter. The 2023 Best Actress and Best Actor winners, Michelle Yeoh and Brendan Fraser, will similarly be presenting awards at Sunday’s show.
As Curtis walked the red carpet, it was hard to forget the circumstances under which she took the stage at last year’s ceremony. After her 2023 win was announced, Curtis could be seen looking visibly stunned and saying, “Shut up!” as she left her seat to walk to the stage. When she arrived, she paused to take in the moment before diving into her acceptance speech, during which she credited the win to all of the people she worked with and ended with a nod to her family and late parents, both of whom had also been nominated for Oscars.
Curtis has appeared eager to present at this year’s ceremony, though she did tease the event organizers for how long it was taking them to invite her back before she was officially announced as a presenter in February.
“Oscar people. Am I presenting? It’s usually tradition that last year’s winner presents this year,” she said during a January appearance on the Today show. “They haven’t called yet. Would you please call? I’d like to get a dress. I would like to arrange things.”
