Jamie Lee Curtis Reveals How She Injured Herself at the Oscars
The actress left the 95th Academy Awards ceremony with more than just a winner's trophy.
Jamie Lee Curtis learned the hard way that fooling around is all fun and games until someone gets hurt.
That someone, in this case, would be the Oscar-winning actress herself.
The 64-year-old took to social media on Friday, Mar. 17, to share a side-by-side photo on her Instagram grid, with one image showing the Everything Everywhere All At Once star literally jumping for joy on stage at the 2023 Academy Awards ceremony and the other putting the actress' medical boot on display next to her shiny new Oscars statuette.

"The THRILL of VICTORY and the AGONY of DA FEET! @everythingeverywheremovie," she captioned the recent post, which you can view on Instagram here.
While Curtis didn't share any specifics about her injury in the post, she didn't seem to be fishing for well wishes, though she certainly earned herself more than a baker's dozen of loving messages.
"Feel better!!!" singer Demi Lovato wrote in a comment, while Jane the Virgin alum Rosario Dawson added, "Awww! Heals for heels!"
The former Freaky Friday star's fans also chimed in with a few jokes, presumably in hopes that they would put a smile on the star's face as she healed, even if only briefly.
"I said, 'Break a leg...'. ??," one Instagram user quipped shortly after another amateur comedian wrote, "One cast you don’t wanna be in??."

Curtis, who won Best Supporting Actress for her role as IRS inspector Deidre Beaubeirdre in the adventure/sci-fi film written and directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, was emotional when she took the stage on Sunday, Mar. 12, to accept her award–while part of that emotion may have been stemming from her pain, she still managed to give an incredible speech.
"Stop! I have 45 seconds and I promised Janet Yang I would do it well because I'm a good girl. I know it looks like I'm standing up here by myself, but I am not. I am hundreds of people. Where are the Daniels? [Directors Daniel Kwan and Daniel Schneinert], Jonathan [Wang], Ley Line, the entire crew, my bae Michelle [Yeoh], Ke [Huy Quan], the entire group of artists who made this movie—we just won an Oscar," she shared.
Curtis went on to thank her "dream team" as well as her parents–the late Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh–who were both nominated for Oscars in their lifetime but did not win.
