Jamie Lynn Spears Gave Birth to Baby #2!

Jamie Lynn Spears is a mom of two! The actress and singer welcomed her second daughter — her first with husband Jamie Watson — and revealed the special family connection behind the new bundle’s beautiful name.

Ivey Joan Watson was born on Wednesday, April 11, at 10:02am in Covington, Louisiana, her rep confirmed to People. “We are beyond excited to welcome this beautiful baby girl to our family,” Spears excitedly told the outlet. She shared a photo of the family admiring the newborn on her Instagram page.

“Her middle name, Joan, is to honor my Aunt Sandra, who passed away 10 years ago from ovarian cancer,” the 27-year-old said. “She was the most graceful woman I’ve ever known.”

Spears and Watson first announced they were expecting in December. The pregnancy reveal came at the end of a “12 Days of JLS” countdown, during which Spears shared 12 major milestones from her life, including her wedding to Watson in 2014, the release of her debut EP The Journey, and the first time she ever performed on the Grand Ole Opry stage.

Little Ivey joins big sister Maddie Briann, 9, who almost lost her life in a horrific ATV accident in 2017. When Spears revealed her second pregnancy, she made special mention of her older daughter, saying she was “sooo happy to announce that Maddie is FINALLY going to be a big sister.” Spears shares Maddie with ex-fiancé Casey Aldridge.
