Jane Fonda snaps at Megyn Kelly after question about plastic surgery
Jane Fonda took Megyn Kelly to task on Wednesday's episode of "Megyn Kelly Today" when Kelly asked her about the plastic surgery that she's gotten over the years.
Fonda, who appeared on "Today" alongside longtime friend Robert Redford to promote their new Netflix film, "Our Souls at Night," had previously expressed that, though she has gone under the knife in the past, she isn't proud of it, and Kelly took the opportunity to ask Fonda about that statement.
"You've been an example to everyone on how to age beautifully and with strength and unapologetically," Kelly said to Fonda. "You admit you've had work done, which I think is to your credit. You look amazing. Why did you say that -- I read that you're not proud to admit that you've had work done. Why not?"

The 79-year-old movie star appeared shell-shocked by the question, and she took a moment to respond.
"We really want to talk about that now?" she retorted.
"Well, one of the things people think when they look at you is how amazing you look," Kelly responded quickly.

"Well, thanks," Fonda responded, taking the moment in stride. "Good attitude, good posture, take care of myself ... but, let me tell you why I love this movie that we did, 'Our Souls at Night,' rather than plastic surgery."
The heated exchange comes on the third episode of Kelly's new NBC morning show, which has come under fire multiple times this week for the former FOX News anchor's controversial comments live on air.

When Kelly welcomed a "Will & Grace" superfan on stage on the premiere episode to meet the revived show's stars, she asked him if the popular sitcom had made him gay and told him that she hopes "the gay thing" works out for him.
In response, Debra Messing revealed that she was "dismayed" about the comments and regrets going on the show.
On Tuesday, the "Sunday Night With Megyn Kelly" host responded to the "take a knee" movement in the NFL by saying that she has a "different take" on the situation because of her nine years practicing law.
"I have a different take on that whole situation, you know, with the NFL," Kelly said. "I practiced law for nine years, and I am a lover of the First Amendment. I think this whole situation underscores some of the beauty of our country, because those players have every right to take a knee and those who object to it have every right to say they object, you know? That's America, right?"
