Jason Kelce Explains How to Get the Best Value at McDonald's, Reveals Go-To Order
Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce kicked off the latest episode of their New Heights podcast with their usual fan mentions of the week shoutout. First up was "Danielle," an employee at Jason's local McDonald's who went viral last week following the Eagles heartbreaking loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, after the star center gave her a signed jersey following the wild-card playoff game.
But the subject also gave the 36-year-old a chance to wax poetic about one of his favorite topics, which is apparently what he orders at the fast food chain. As Kelce recalled the viral moment, he said he had simply signed the jersey for Danielle; not given it to her as it was widely reported in the media.
Eagles legend Jason Kelce stopped by his neighborhood McDonald’s this morning to pick up some breakfast and drop off a jersey for his favorite employee – Danielle Bonham.

"So normally I go there, every time I get two sausage, egg, and cheese [McMuffins] with a large coffee, black, either hot or iced," the future Hall of Famer detailed, depending on how fast the coffee needs to be consumed. "And they know it."
"No hash brown?" Travis asked, veering off topic. "Dude, I don't go hash brown," Jason claimed. "Hash browns are delicious, I don't do combo meals. If I'm going there to get a burger, I get a double quarter pounder with cheese. I don't go there to get the value menu number four with the fries."
"No, that's a rookie mistake," he continued, when Travis noted that "was the point" of going to McDonald's. "Those fries and that drink, you're not getting your money's worth on that. It's not enough calories per dollar."
Travis then pointed out that hash browns may be McDonald's "best item," but Jason disagreed. "Nah, their best item is a Sausage Egg and Cheese McMuffin, and I get two of those," he said.
But when asked by his brother whether it was the "best breakfast he ever had," Jason admitted that Danielle "messed his order up" in the excitement of the moment by accidentally giving him a large Coca-Cola instead of his usual iced coffee.
He recalled that on that day, he had ordered a hot coffee, but was handed an iced drink when he got up to the window. "I'll drink an iced black coffee," Jason said, reasoning that there was no point in sending it back. "And I take a sip of it, and it's the best damn coffee I've ever tasted in my life. It's so good that it takes me a second to realize that this isn't coffee."
"This is pure sugar, high-fructose corn syrup Coca-Cola, and it was delicious," he quipped. "Do you know how excited my brain got, to except the hard bitterness of coffee and to be shocked with just nothing but pure sugar into my head?"
But in the end, Kelce wasn't even mad about it, as he said it was sort of a treat since he doesn't normally drink soda.
"If I order a large Coke, I'll feel like a piece of s--t. So I can't order a large Coke. I gotta get a coffee or something I can live with myself for getting," he added. "But if you surprise me with a Coke—I think the rest of the day I was just so happy because I got to sign Danielle's jersey, and I got a large Coca-Cola."
