Jason Kelce Reflects on His Team’s ‘Heck of a Collapse’ Amid Retirement News
Jason Kelce #62 of the Philadelphia Eagles
Jason Kelce is reflecting on a bit of his pro football career, and while doing so, recounted, specifically, what happened during what may have possibly been his last NFL game.
During the latest episode of the NFL star brothers' sports podcast, New Heights, which was released on Wednesday, Jan. 17, Travis and Jason dove into the segment of the audio show where they discuss both of their most recent sporting events.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end noted they needed to chat about the "Bucs 32-Eagles 9" final score on Monday, Jan. 15, where the Tampa Bay Buccaneers came out victorious over Jason's squad, the Philadelphia Eagles, in a tough loss.

Jason expressed it's "really, really frustrating," dealing with the aftermath of losing, after putting "a lot of hard work in."
He further noted it's a "rough way to finish" out this year, commenting on the "heck of a collapse" after "losing six of our last seven games."
"Tough to watch you guys go down like that," his younger brother admitted.
Jason continued, solemnly describing trying to do everything you can, but feeling like nothing is working, while recognizing that the "bottom line is, nobody was good enough this year down the stretch. I wasn't; players weren't... coaches weren't—it's collective. Whenever there's that big of a let down, it's more than just any one person or one thing."
"It's frustrating, to say the least," he lamented.

Elsewhere in the episode, the 36-year-old held back confirmation on rumors that he has decided to hang up his cleats, after apparent locker room banter that he'd played his last game leaked earlier this week.
As was previously reported, fans were devastated when news that the Eagles' center had reportedly told his teammates following Monday's game that it had been his last, though the should-be Hall of Famer never spoke the words directly to reporters.
While teammates Brandon Graham and Lane Johnson each addressed the retirement rumors during their post-game interviews, Jason said that it wasn't the right time "to...make that decision" in the aftermath of "a game like that." He explained, "There’s too much emotion in the moment and too much going down in the moment to really fully grasp that decision,” thus neither confirming or denying his future plans on the audio show, "despite what’s been leaked to the media.”
