Jason and Travis Kelce brought what is, perhaps, the most brotherly argument to ever exist to this week's episode of their podcast, New Heights.
While most of the newest edition focused on talking shop with the Eagles' newest player Saquon Barkley, near the end of the episode, the trio engaged in a series of questions, with Barkley stirring up a little drama when he asked which of the brothers would come out on top in a drinking competition.
"I'm pretty sure I've beaten Jason the last three to five times on a chug-off," Travis announced confidently, to which the new retiree countered, "This is completely made up," before asking for clarification about what the drinking contest would entail.
"Chugging, and then toe-to-toe," Barkley suggested, defining toe-to-toe as "who's calling it quits."
"Yeah, I can definitely drink more volume," Jason continued. "I don't even think that's a question."
But Travis wasn't tapping out, sounding like a Scooby Doo character as he comically asked, "What?"
"You think you can drink—you're already down to 260," he continued, with Jason interrupting that he's currently weighing in at 283.
Either way, the brothers are now in the "same weight class," but, as brothers tend to do, neither could let it go.
According to Jason, Travis doesn't "have the heart that [he does] when it comes to drinking," while Travis doubled down that Jason "hasn't stayed out past 10 p.m. since 2017," apparently forgetting Jason's viral, alcohol-induced antics at his playoff games and Super Bowl parties.
"Do you remember any of that?" Travis clapped back.
"No, because I was drinking all day!" the former center dug in.
Ultimately, when it comes to drinking games, Jason is confident he could "destroy" his little brother with his "advantage" of being the oldest, leaving Travis even more gobsmacked than before.
"You're not beating me at pong," he interrupted, but Jason was willing to concede that point.
He also claims that Travis is a cheater as far as shotgunning a can of beer goes, though, much to our disappointment, failed to explain how.
"Well, it's on like Donkey Kong," Travis decided. "We're going to enter ourselves into this drinking contest, maybe at the show or something," he added, referring to their upcoming live recording.
In preparation, Jason said he's "gonna be practicing [his] drinking skills now, just to make sure [he can] whoop [Travis]," though the tight end said he "doesn't even have to practice."
"It's just what I do," he declared.
"I was the MVP at Cincinnati drinking games," Jason argued. "I still think I got it. You're saying I don't got it anymore?"
"I'm saying...if you're not out there on skates, you don't know how to skate the same."
"I think I proved in the post-season that I still got what it takes; Pat Mahomes even said I was the MVP of the post-Super Bowl party!" Jason continued to make his case.
Travis finally caved on the argument, sighing, "...damn it Pat...stop feeding this man this nonsense!" But don't think for one second the matter is resolved.
