Java Chip-Flavored Oreos Are a Thing, and They Sound Like a Coffee Lover's Dream
Well, it's been about, what, like, five seconds since Oreo last announced a new flavor? And if you're an ardent Oreo lover like I am, you know that's juuuust about the longest they'll wait to drop something new. Which brings us here—to the cookie company's latest launch. It sounds kind of like if Oreo and a Starbucks Frappuccino were to have a baby.
We first heard about Java Chip Oreos from Instagram user @CandyHunting, who reported they "will be out very soon." According to the post in question, the new Oreos are stuffed with coffee flavor creme that has chocolatey chips in it. As always, these beautiful cookies are made with real cocoa.
News of this new flavor follows two other coffee-themed releases from Nabisco earlier this year: limited-edition Tiramisu cookies and Latte Creme Fudge Dipped Oreo Thins Bites. "They smell so much like coffee—even with the fudge coating—and they melt in your mouth real good as you chew," Instagrammer @junkbanter wrote of the latter when they came out. Here's hoping Java Chip Oreos deliver on both counts!!

It's really a great time to be an Oreo fan these days. Dairy Queen's new blizzard of the month for August is Oreo Fudge Brownie. The frozen treat has both brownie and Oreo cookie pieces, plus cocoa fudge. Pillsbury cookie dough with Oreo pieces is also out on store shelves, which is safe to eat raw. When it comes to Oreos, the snacking possibilities are truly endless. What a time, folks. What a time.
