WINDHAM — Jazz in the Garden, an event at the Ripley Tainter House in Windham, will take place this Sunday for an evening “under the lights,” which coincides with its Broadway theme.

The event will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Gardens of Thomas Avery and Matthew Miller, 80 Windham Center Road in Windham.

This marks the 22nd-anniversary fundraiser for the Windham Free Library.

There will be music by Mama Train, complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres, along with a silent auction featuring work from local artists and a curated selection of other goods and services.

The Ripley Tainter House in Windham is in Windham Center’s historic district. The house is 4,556 square feet and offers a circa 1840 Greek Revival style with nine working fireplaces. It sits on 32 acres of land with a pond.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Windham Free Library, which is committed to restoring and preserving historically significant artifacts.

Tickets are $70 and can be purchased through the event’s website, jazz-in-the-garden.square.site.
