Jeffree Star goes after Kylie Jenner's latest launches on Twitter: 'Make something different maybe'
Fans of Jeffree Star know that he’s not afraid to stir up drama. He’s fought publicly with Kat Von D, been accused of racism, and now he’s come for Kylie Cosmetics.
Star has spent the past few days bashing Kylie Jenner‘s latest launches on Twitter. First, he joined the chorus of fans who called out Jenner for a prohibitively priced $360-makeup brush set. “Are the new @kyliecosmetics makeup brushes made out of animal hair? Is that why they’re so expensive?? BITCH I’M STILL DUMBFOUNDED!!!!” he wrote on Twitter.
A few minutes later, he walked back the statement. “Can I ask a question about @KylieJenner’s new products without everyone twisting it and making it something it’s not? No? Didn’t think so lol,” he added. He may want to remain drama-free but the original tweet, we should note, is still up.

Can I ask a question about @KylieJenner's new products without everyone twisting it and making it something it's not? No? Didn't think so lol

Then Star moved on to claiming that Jenner copied his packaging. “I gotta know ONE THING. … With all that fucking money she’s made, why did @kyliecosmetics use the SAME PACKAGING as my liquid lipsticks that have been out since 2014??? Invest and make something different maybe?” he asked. This tweet he did delete, but he’s followed it up with hedges like “just an opinion” and “Bitch please.”
That was my thoughts. Just a opinion lol https://t.co/WoSwRwJVWh

Star and Jenner both have rabid fanbases, a fact that is made even more clear in the Twitter reactions. Star’s fans are quick to agree with his Jenner shade, while Jenner fans are always ready to defend King Kylie.
Team Star: “JeffreeStar is THE realness.” and “i’ve never and will never support kylie.”
I’m just gonna leave this here… @JeffreeStar is THE realness. I remember seeing him at K Scope and still being like okay go head witcha bad self. His reviews on beauty products are completely valid and his knowledge of product formula is legitimate. I trust him with it awllll

It’s a pattern! Every time someone comes out with something she does the exact same thing. I bet damn well she wouldn’t have made a wide-ranged concealer line if @rihanna didn’t come out with @fentybeauty ??

i completely agree girl. i’ve never and will never support kylie lol. just informing incase you didn’t know for future reference with other brands.

Team Jenner: “it’s seriously sad how obsessed with her and her family you are.”
lmao it's seriously sad how obsessed with her and her family you are. They've been killing the game since it started. I only heard about you through yet another rant of you bashing them. Sad.

Are people actually still buying any @KylieJenner makeup these days?!! #tacky
— Anj (@AnjMc) December 10, 2017
She's not getting my money. Ever. I'll stick to my trusted and true brands.

As fans point out, Star himself hasn’t yet launched a brush line. If and when he does, we’ll be sure to double check the price point — and the packaging.
