Jeffree Star trolls fellow makeup guru Kat Von D about anti-vaccination comments
Though they were once friends, there’s no love lost between beauty gurus Jeffree Star and Kat Von D, who famously fell out in 2016. Now there’s more bad blood brewing.
On Tuesday, Star released a new YouTube video — titled “Full Face of Brands That Me” — which shows him bashing a number of makeup products and beauty brands, including Too Faced, Huda Beauty, and, yep, Kat Von D.
Around the 12-minute mark, Star gives viewers a quick recap on his beef with Von D, accusing her of spreading “crazy lies” about him after 10 years of friendship. Ever since, he says, they’ve had “weird tension.”
That tension appears to be building, and it’s all over a remark Von D apparently made in the comments section of her wedding video. When one of her fans wrote that Star was probably watching the video at home, Von D fired back, “Jeffree who?”
“How about Jeffree who had the lipstick in Sephora with my mother f***ing name on it, with your company for the last 10 years?” Star responds in his video, referencing a lipstick Von D created in his honor. “How about Jeffree that’s in all your books? All your memories?”
Describing their feud as an “open wound,” Star goes on to call out Von D for continuing to sell the Jeffree lipstick, despite her statements to the contrary. (He claims that although Sephora has recently pulled the shade, it is still available to purchase on Von D’s website.)
During his rant about Von D, Star pulled a face — a screenshot of which he later shared on Twitter with a caption mocking his former friend’s remarks about vaccinations. Von D, who is pregnant with her first child, caused a stir this summer when she announced that she and husband Rafael Reyes “have the intention of raising a vegan child, without vaccinations.”

Following uproar from fans concerned that not vaccinating her baby boy would put others at risk, Von D responded in a follow-up Instagram post that she is “not against vaccines.” She added that, while the couple acknowledge that medications “are not all bad,” they also feel that it’s “unfair for anyone to expect me [or any parent] to take the word of the pharmaceutical companies who have much to gain from an industry worth billions without question — and then have to dismiss any concerns of my own.”
Naturally, Star saw an opportunity to take a potshot, joking about Von D’s baby boy. Star’s tweet already has 92,000 likes, though many Von D fans did pipe up to defend the makeup maven.
“I get that the whole non-vaccination thing is stupid, but there is no need to bring her baby when trying to stir up drama between you both again,” read one response. “The shading in the video was enough, but bringing her baby into it is wrong! People will now come for me saying it was a joke but just NO!”
