Jenna Bush Hager Has Perfect Reaction to Being a Clue in a Crossword Puzzle
Jenna Bush Hager
Jenna Bush Hager had nothing shy of an all-star moment this week.
The 42-year-old Today anchor was recently featured as an answer in The New York Times crossword on Sunday, Feb. 25, and her candid reaction to it couldn't have been scripted any better.
In response to the clue–which read, "Partner of Hoda [Kotb],"–Hager delightfully exclaimed, "I was like, 'That's me! Hi!'" All the while, her co-host laughed with joy.
Fans on social media also responded well to the clue, with some viewers admitting that despite being "horrible at crosswords," this was at least one answer they would have gotten correct.
"To me this is a career high," quipped comedian and media personality Michelle Collins.
"It’s me, hi!" exclaimed one of the official NBC studios' accounts, seemingly referencing the lyrics of Taylor Swift's "Anti-Hero."
"It sure is!" someone else cheered. "I love you two. ??."
"The Hoda face," another teased.
For those interested in a little trivia knowledge, we dug into the background that these two fan-favorite talk show hosts share.
Hager initially started on the Today show as a correspondent and contributor nearly 15 years ago, in August 2009. Today, she is also the editor-at-large for Southern Living. Before that, she worked in the public school system as a teacher.
Kotb, on the other hand, got her start with NBC in 1998 as a correspondent for Dateline. Then, in 2007, the now-59-year-old began co-hosting the fourth hour of Today–which fans now lovingly know as Today with Hoda & Jenna. Years later, in 2018, Kotb signed on as a co-anchor of the Today show alongside Savannah Guthrie following the network's termination of Matt Lauer.
And the rest....is herstory!
