Jenna Dewan Details How She Injured Herself in 'Painful' Workout Video
Jenna Dewan is on the mend after sustaining a mild injury during a recent workout session.
In a new video taken from the gym, The Rookie actress can be seen performing box jumps—a high impact exercise where you jump from the floor up onto an elevated surface—resulting in damage to her hand.
On Monday afternoon, August 7, the Step Up star took to Instagram with slowed-down footage from the occurrence, where the exact moment her pinky finger ended up bent back near her wrist was captured on camera—and we have to admit, it looked painful.
"For everyone wondering how i earned my newest accessory ?????♀?," she wrote in the caption, explaining why she was wearing a medical brace in her previously-posted footage from Taylor Swift's concert (where she unashamedly displayed her Swiftie status with an arm full of Eras Tour bracelets).
Along with the slow-motion clip, Dewan also shared a still image of the injury, along with an x-ray and an additional picture of herself rocking the wrist brace.
In the comments, fans applauded how she responded in the initial aftermath of the fitness mishap.
"Dude! You handled that like a champ tho! Ouch!" one said, as another followed up with, "The way you kept working out though."
"She keeps on going!" a third echoed, while a fourth sent well wishes her way for a speedy comeback: "Ohh ouch fingers aren’t meant to bent [sic] like that! Hope you make a quick recovery."
Three more chimed in, writing what we were all thinking with, "Ouch, it’s painful just to watch," "OH. MY. GOSH! Jenna I’m so impressed I would have crashed to the ground ??????," and "I felt the pain from the video. ??"
Here's to hoping the hand heals up—swiftly!
