Jennie Garth Has Blunt Response to 'Quiet on Set' After Working With Amanda Bynes
Jennie Garth and Amanda Bynes
Jennie Garth is the latest celebrity to weigh in on the allegations against Dan Schneider following the explosive Max docuseries, Quiet on Set.
Garth, 51, appeared on What I Like About You, a sitcom co-created by Schneider, from 2002 to 2006. The show also famously starred Amanda Bynes, who was one of the former child stars heavily featured in the new doc that shines a light on the dark side of kids TV.
The four-part series exposed accusations of inappropriate and abusive on-set behaviors from Schneider, 58, as well as claims that the former Nickelodeon executive integrated sexually suggestive jokes into his shows that were supposed to be meant for children.
Garth was among those recently asked about the allegations against Schneider, and she didn't mince words while sharing her take on the matter.
"I don't want to talk about Dan Schneider ever again in my life," she blatantly told the Hollywood Reporter.
The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum was also asked about her relationship with Bynes, her former co-star, whom she said she hasn't heard from since the documentary aired last month.
"I just love her," Garth said of Bynes, now 37, before adding, "I would love to see her at any point."
Bynes, who played a younger sister to Garth on What I Like About You, has still not spoken publicly about the newly-released doc or the allegations it highlights against Schneider.
Following the release of the bombshell Max documentary, a fifth installment of the series was announced for release later this month. The new episode will delve deeper into the abuse and discrimination child actors faced behind the scenes of Schneider's shows.
Episode 5, entitled "Breaking the Silence," begins streaming on Max Sunday, April 7.
