Here's The First Look at Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt's Reunion Project

Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt Are Reuniting For a New Project

The team-up we needed in 2020.

Update September 14, 2020: We've caught a glimpse of this reunion and we can already tell it will be glorious. The ~event~ will be streaming on Thursday, Sept. 17 at 6 P.M. PT/9 P.M. ET and judging by the graphic it will feature a wonderfully shaggy Brad Pitt and a sleek meeting-ready Jennifer Aniston. Come for the reunion of the century, stay for Shia LaBeouf in neon sunglasses.

Update August 21, 2020: Variety reports that the special Fast Times at Ridgemont High virtual table read has been postponed due to "technical difficulties." The new date and time haven't been announced.

Previously: We may be waiting a little longer for that Friends reunion, but a pretty good consolation prize is on the way, in the form of a Brad Pitt-Jennifer Aniston reunion.

The former couple will come together for Dane Cook's Feelin' A-Live, a virtual table read of the 1982 film, Fast Times at Ridgemont High. According to CNN, Sean Penn, who starred in the movie, has also signed on for the project, as have Jimmy Kimmel, Morgan Freeman, Shia LaBeouf, Matthew McConaughey and Julia Roberts.

The event will will raise money for Penn's nonprofit, CORE and the REFORM Alliance, and will be livestreamed on Friday at 8 p.m. ET on CORE's Facebook page.

The reading will be the first time Pitt and Aniston have appeared onscreen together in about 19 years — in 2001, he famously guest-starred on an episode of Friends.

Of course, Pitt and Aniston were also able to have an in-person reunion earlier this year, when they ran into each other at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, where Aniston won an award for her performance in The Morning Show, and Pitt won one for his role in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

After Pitt attended Aniston's birthday party last year, rumors of a romantic reunion began to swirl, as they do, but a source told E! News, "Someone extended the invitation to Brad to come to Jen's party and he accepted. He wanted to support Jen and it was a momentous occasion. But that's the extent of it. It was a social evening with a lot of people who have been a part of her life. They definitely aren't dating or on that path. They are friendly, but that's it."
