Jennifer Aniston Reveals Role That Is the ‘Bane of Her Existence’
Jennifer Aniston has accumulated a lengthy list of credits for iconic roles in movies and television over the years, but there is one project that she wishes she hadn't done.
Speaking with Howard Stern in a new interview, Aniston, 54, reviewed some key points in her career–including her start in Hollywood in the 1990s.
Stern, 69, highlighted one movie that Aniston worked on that some people see as a cult classic, while Stern recalled Aniston feeling quite the opposite, saying, "This movie is the bane of your existence."
Referring to 1993's Leprechaun, Stern said, "You hate that...But you have to act. You have to get into the door somewhere."
"I really thought I'd arrived when I did Leprechaun. I mean, it was with Warwick Davis, the guy from Willow was in it. [It was a] big deal," Aniston replied.
After Stern asked Aniston if she would ever watch the movie, she recalled a time eight years ago when she watched it with her then-boyfriend, Justin Theroux, "just for s---s and giggles."
Describing the experience, Aniston said that it was early on in their relationship when Theroux either stumbled upon Leprechaun on TV or put it on, and Aniston "tried to get that thing, that remote out of his hand, and there was just no having it."
Aniston went on, saying that Theroux "was like, 'No, no, no! This is happening,'" and so the two sat down and watched the film.
People in the comments enjoyed hearing about Aniston's early career, and a few shared their love of the film Leprechaun, as one fan wrote, "Leprechaun is a cult classic. Love that movie!??."
"I love all of the Leprechaun movies. They’re hilarious," said another.
"The only thing better than Leprechaun is Leprechaun in the Hood," said a third.
Even if Aniston hates her film Leprechaun, plenty of fans appreciate her early exploration of the horror genre.
