Jennifer Aniston reveals whether she’d try online dating and if she’d marry again
Don’t expect to see Jennifer Aniston’s profile pop up on a dating app anytime soon.
Asked if she would ever try online dating, the “Friends” star’s answer was a resounding no.
“No. Absolutely no,” the actor said in this week’s People magazine. “I’m going to just stick to the normal ways of dating. Having someone ask you out. That’s the way I would prefer it.”
Aniston announced she was splitting from her ex-husband, Justin Theroux, in 2018. She was also married to Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005.
Now, “The Morning Show” star says that while she is open to finding romance, she’s in no hurry to walk down the aisle.
“Oh God, I don’t know. It’s not on my radar,” she said about the possibility of getting married again. “I’m interested in finding a fantastic partner and just living an enjoyable life and having fun with one another. That’s all we should hope for. It doesn’t have to be etched in stone in legal documents.”
Aniston also opened up about how therapy has helped keep her grounded amid media speculation about her relationship status over the years.
"Self-awareness is key," she said. "I've really gotten a lot out of therapy. Just being a public person, there's a lot of amazing things that come with that. But there's also a lot of tough stuff, because we're only human, and we tend to walk around with bulls-eyes on our heads."
She added that even sometimes within her own family, she has had to dispel tabloid rumors about her private life.
"Sometimes you can't help family members or people sending stuff over going, 'What is this? You're having a baby? Are you getting married?'” she said. “It's like, 'Oh, good gosh, when and how many years will it take for you to ignore that silliness?'"
Aniston has been basking in the love of her “Friends” co-stars lately, following last month’s nostalgia-filled “Friends” reunion on HBO Max.
She and Courteney Cox, who have remained close, recently swapped heartwarming birthday messages for each other on social media.
"Happy Birthday Jenny Louise! We’ve known each other so long I don’t even remember why I call you that. I love you ! ????" Cox wrote to Aniston on Instagram.
Between her close friendships and her fulfilling career, Aniston told People she's in “a really peaceful place” in her life.
“I have a job that I love, I have people in my life who are everything to me, and I have beautiful dogs,” she said. “I’m just a very fortunate and blessed human being.”
