Jennifer Garner cooks with this gorgeous Staub cast iron skillet, and it's 60% off at Wayfair's Way Day sale
The actress' go-to cookware makes a great gift — the Staub pan will ship in time for Mother's Day if you buy now.
Jennifer Garner is an icon for many reasons: her decades in front of the camera on both the big and small screens, her ageless, timeless beauty and style (and longtime partnership with Neutrogena), and perhaps most endearingly of all, her adorable "mom vibes" in countless social media videos, where she shares little tips and tricks for whipping up delicious family meals on her "Pretend Cooking Show." It was in one of these Instagram Reels that we spotted the star using the 12-inch Staub Cast Iron Fry Pan — and it just so happens that that very piece of cookware is now down to $126 in cherry red at Wayfair's Way Day savings event, a markdown of 60% off.
Thanks to a textured cast iron matte interior and an enameled exterior, this favorite from Staub distributes heat like a boss, ensuring all your favorite foods are cooked evenly.
Why is this a good deal? ??
Down to a mere $126 at Wayfair (from $314) in the ravishing cherry red color, this 12-inch Staub Cast Iron Fry Pan is the lowest price currently on the internet thanks to Way Day, the retailer's biggest savings event of the year. That's 60% off — and even cheaper than Amazon! If you've been looking to snag this quality cookware for yourself, you'll likely not find another deal as good as this for quite a while. It also makes a great Mother's Day gift and will arrive just in time for the big day. (Plus, shipping is currently free sitewide for Way Day.)
Why do I need this? ??
Made with quality enameled cast iron, the Staub Cast Iron Fry Pan has a textured matte interior that requires no pre-seasoning and retains heat like a champion, helping to distribute heat evenly on the surface of foods being cooked. It's also supremely versatile: Jennifer used hers in this Instagram Reel to toast almonds for some yummy "Cloud Cookies"!
With a spacious 12 inches of cooking area, you can easily tackle searing, frying, and caramelizing a variety of foods with the Staub pan, and two side pouring spouts allow for easy and clean grease and oil removal. No worries if you have an induction stove, either — the smooth enamel bottom of the pan works just as well across all types of stovetops.
What reviewers say ??
Wayfair shoppers absolutely adore the Staub Cast Iron Fry Pan, awarding it an overall average rating of 4.9 out of 5 stars across hundreds of reviews. Many users rave about the pan's quality and heat retention and distribution.
Pros ??
"Heats up quickly and browns evenly," a reviewer enthused. "It is easy to clean and I have found that food sticking is not a problem if you spray before cooking. The red is a beautiful color."
"Glide a tiny bit of butter each time while heating, as suggested, and this pan with the non-stick coating will brown food efficiently and evenly," advised one shopper. "It requires the lowest gas flame setting, but the pan will heat up very fast ... so surprised! The heat retention is also good. Food flavors are retained because food does not dry out because of the pan's efficiency."
A final fan summed the benefits of the pan up nicely: "I bought this frying pan after reading that cast iron is the healthiest material for cooking. I got the grenadine color, and it is very beautiful. I use it daily; it cooks evenly, and the food is delicious. It is a well-made, high-quality construction pan (it is heavy, like all cast-iron pans). [In my humble opinion,] the Staub pans are superior to Le Creuset." The same reviewer also loved that the pan was so "easy to clean."
Cons ??
"[The pan] is wonderfully nonstick. You have to be very careful how you cook with it, though," cautioned a Wayfair shopper. "Cast iron needs to be heated slowly and kept at lower temperatures. The first time I used this pan I started burning a little bit. But once I was done cooking, I put in a bit of soapy hot water, and then about five minutes later, when I ran the sponge in the pan, it all lifted off like magic."
Another user also advised patience when pre-heating the pan: "I used it to sear a steak on my convection and it was tough getting it hot enough right when I needed it. Apparently, it needs some time to preheat properly," they said.
This foot-wide wonder comes in a variety of colors (including black matte, dark blue and graphite gray) but you'll score the best deal on the internet right now with the cherry colorway at 60% off.
